As Senior Account Manager you'll be a trusted advisor to our clients, playing an important role in our success by building client relationships, driving strategic plans, tackling exciting projects and exceeding expectations. You’ll be someone with strategic thinking, outstanding client relationships and problem-solving skills.
You’ll take ownership of clients and projects and play an active role in driving the business forward.
Key responsibilities:
Client relationship management
- Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key clients at a strategic and operational level, acting as a peer-to-peer trusted advisor
- Collaborate with clients to understand their goals and challenges, ensuring our services align with their needs
Strategic account management
- Create and implement strategic account plans to exceed client expectations and objectives
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality services on time and within budget
- Collaborate with creative, content, strategy, and project management teams to provide innovative and impactful solutions to client briefs
- Ensure regular project debriefs are conducted to assess progress and improve client relationships
Business development
- Retention and growth of designated accounts, identifying and driving organic growth opportunities
- Support on RFPs and pitch presentations as well as new business opportunities
- Create thought leadership posts and attend conferences/events on behalf of the company as part of the company's strategic marketing plan
Financial management
- Lead and oversee client financial management, including accurate budget estimates, reconciliations, invoicing, and forecasting, as well as identifying and managing changes of scope
Team collaboration
- Mentor junior team members, delegating where appropriate for their development. Provide guidance and support in their daily tasks and project management
- Create a supportive and motivating work environment that encourages personal growth and teamwork, role modelling behaviours to support their success
Problem-solving and project management
- Be solution-focused and stay proactive in addressing any client challenges that may arise
- Team up with cross-functional colleagues to resolve project-related issues, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients
Key skills and experience
- Degree in Life Sciences, Communications, or Marketing
- 3 years+ of strategic account management experience, particularly in healthcare communications
- A strong background in client relationship management and the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
- Proficiency in multichannel solutions (online and offline) and project management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Proven track record of driving client satisfaction and managing complex accounts
- 1 year+ mentoring experience
