As Account Manager, you'll play an essential role in supporting and growing client relationships, driving the delivery of impactful projects, and ensuring the highest standards of service. As a trusted point of contact for clients, you'll use your communication and organisational skills to manage projects effectively and support the overall success of your accounts.

Key responsibilities:

Client relationship management

  • Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key clients, acting as a trusted advisor to understand and align with their goals and challenges
  • Proactively manage client expectations and ensure that all deliverables are aligned with the client’s vision and objectives
  • Act as the main day-to-day contact for clients, ensuring smooth communication and coordination

Account management

  • Support and implement account plans to meet client objectives and deliver high-quality services on time and within budget
  • Collaborate closely with creative, content, and strategy to ensure seamless execution of client campaigns and projects
  • Ensure regular project debriefs are conducted to assess progress and improve client relationships

Business development

  • Support the expansion and growth of designated accounts, seeking organic growth opportunities
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of RFPs and pitch presentations
  • Work alongside senior management to identify and execute strategies for winning new clients

Financial management

  • Create and manage client budgets, ensuring accuracy in forecasting, invoicing, and reconciliations
  • Identify scope changes early to manage financials effectively and align with company goals

Team collaboration

  • Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of collaboration and accountability within the team

Problem-solving and project management

  • Maintain a proactive approach to resolving any client issues, collaborating with colleagues to find solutions that benefit both the client and the agency
  • Develop project timelines, monitor and communicate key dates and any changes to all stakeholders, and ensure milestones are met
  • Manage individual projects from concept to completion with support from senior team members

Key skills and experience:

  • Degree in Life Sciences, Communications, or Marketing
  • 18 months+ of account management experience, particularly in healthcare communications
  • A strong background in client relationship management and the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry
  • Proficiency in multichannel solutions (online and offline) and project management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of driving client satisfaction and managing complex accounts
  • Teamwork-oriented with an ability to multi-task and adapt whilst building relationships at all levels
