Flexible Working: A Q&A with Mathew Cutts
On the 22nd January 2018, our very own Mathew Cutts took part in a Q&A panel on the topic of flexible working. The Q&A was part of the Mindset Shift Summit and the session was hosted by Gillian Nissim from Working Mums.
Thank you to Mindset Shift Summit for supplying us with the Google Hangout footage so we could create this summary of Cuttsy+Cuttsy's approach to flexible working.
Here are some of the key points from Mathew:
Attraction: Flexible working helps us to attract and retain key talent.
Individual: Flexible arrangements are always made between the Directors and the individual, rather than offering a blanket approach for all.
Appreciation: We appreciate our team have responsibilities outside of work and want to create working practices that support them personally and professionally.
Inclusive: The opportunity for flexible working is open for all and a plan is developed to suit individual needs.
Development: Professional development is always a priority for the whole team, not just full-time staff.
While Cuttsy+Cuttsy are championing flexible working practices, the Working Mums flexible working report highlights that this is not the case with all employers. You can read the full report here.
